In early 2026, Tritech Solutions B.V. was commissioned by NTP to produce and install Trisoplast as part of the capping system for Twence’s Boldershoek landfill in Hengelo. The project covered an area of approximately 54,000 m².
The Trisoplast mineral sealing layer was applied over a supporting layer consisting of incinerator bottom ash. Thorough preparation and finishing of this sub-base were crucial to achieving a high-quality, durable sealing system.
A distinctive feature of the project was the presence of steep, long slopes with a 1:2 gradient. To install the Trisoplast safely and accurately on these slopes, specialized equipment and a specific installation method were employed.
The limited space available around the landfill—due to the presence of a solar park—presented an additional logistical challenge. The restricted working and storage area required the delivery of materials and the removal of equipment to be precisely coordinated with the progress of the work.
The Boldershoek project demonstrates that Trisoplast can be applied efficiently even under complex site conditions. Thanks to a combination of specialized equipment, a carefully tailored installation method, and tight logistical planning, a durable Trisoplast liner was successfully installed over an area of approximately 54,000 m² within a short timeframe.
