The Project

Prise D'eau is a beautiful golf resort, close to Tilburg, the Netherlands. It has 27 holes and, of course, lots of extensive lawns. To supply them with water daily, it was decided to build a 25,000 m2 water pond. This way, the groundwater is spared and the soil does not dry out. It became one of our more beautiful Trisoplast projects in recent years.

Produced on site

Eugène Timmermans was project manager at Prise D'eau: 'The challenge in this project was in the timeframe. The golf course had to be open for a certain time, so we had to construct the water pond in a short time frame.' As producing the Trisoplast mixture at another site would be far too complex and would take too much time, it was decided to produce the product on site with the re-use of the sand released from the excavation of the water pond. Another fine example of Trisoplast's flexible and sustainable commitment. This saved on transport and sand purchasing.

Success story

One of the main starting points for the project was the natural look of the pond. Eugène: 'You absolutely cannot tell that we worked with Trisoplast here. The natural shapes of the pond are followed perfectly by the Trisoplast layer. The natural-looking layer is invisibly concealed under a covering layer, not only on the bottom itself but also on the slopes and at all kinds of connections.' The water feature was delivered entirely on schedule and, in terms of its appearance, fits perfectly into the beautiful wooded surroundings of the golf course. A success story for both clients and Trisoplast. A hole in one, shall we say.
